Holztechnikum Kuchl relies on innovative wood measuring systems from Infometrics

Updated: May 2

The Holztechnikum Kuchl (Salzburg, Austria), one of the most renowned educational institutions in the field of wood processing and technology, will use the advanced digital wood measuring systems from INFOMETRICS in the future.

Yesterday the digital measuring devices were officially handed over to the workshop manager of the wood technology center, Alexander Schuster. The "Cubatore" is a smart, mobile system for measuring logs and sawn timber, which is always used when automated procedures are not effective.

"Our training is characterized not only by its breadth, but also by its practical orientation. Knowing how to measure logs and sawn timber using a caliper and tape measure will form the basis for many future jobs in the timber sector. The combination of tool and app makes learning even more exciting for our students," emphasized Hansrechner, managing director of the Holztechnikum.
